More Snow!

It's been a while since I've posted...I've been busy since the holidays and work has been insane. It is starting to slowly go back to normal. Anyway...we have snow again! We're getting 6 inches plus another Northeastern on Friday. I tried to make it to work but didn't get far I got about 10 minutes down the road (which usually would have taken 4 minutes) and there was a small accident so I decide to turn around and go home. I didn't even make it back up my driveway! I was slipping and sliding all over. So now Josh and I are safe at home! I hope everyone has a nice New Years!

Happy Birthday David!

6 years ago at 12:01 am my nephew David was born! I missed his birthday party today because of all the snow though...my car wouldn't have made it there. Happy Birthday David!!

Snow, Snow, Snow!!

It has been snowing non stop since Friday at noon! I think we have at least 10 inches or so from Friday and were supposed to get another 3 to 7 inches today. Then the rest of the week more snow or snow flurries. Josh loves it though. He keeps on looking out the window saying "SNOW!! SNOW!!" We will definetly have a nice White Christmas!

Hooky

We have a severe winter storm warning in affect until 1 am Saturday. It started snowing around noon. They said it was supposed to start at 8 am but you know how that works. Now I was supposed to work 9 am till 7 pm...but I called in saying Josh was "sick". It wasn't snowing at the time but all the schools in the area were already closed this morning. Not taking my chances! So Josh and I have a SNOW DAY!! After his nap we'll go outside and play! They say we are getting an inch or two PER hour! Anywhere from 7 to 14 inches!! Plus another storm Sunday thru Wednesday!! A lot better than last year we didn't have any snow just lots and lots of ice. We're going to have a white Christmas :)

Snow!

So far so good! We have maybe 4 inches of snow and no ice! I love snow :) Too bad I've got to work all day or Josh and I would go play in it! Maybe when he goes to Daycare they will go outside??

I see the light!!

We finally got power on sometime this after noon!!!! I'm so excited!! The only thing is that we are getting another storm! They say a few inches tonight and it will turn into ice tomorrow morning! Wish us luck that it isn't bad and we don't loose power again!

Still No Power!

We still have no power!! They now say that Tuesday we should all have power. About 50,000 people are without power. When I get power I'll show you guys the pictures. It looks pretty but hasn't been so fun...

Ice Storm

So we had a really bad ice storm Thursday and I lost power Thursday night. Well today we still have NO power and I have Josh's birthday party tomorrow. Last minute I now how to make everything at my mothers house and have it at Jason job. Ugh...life couldn't get any more annoying. I though we had power because my parents and everyone else did so we went grocery shopping. Only to get home and find out we don't have power!! Thankfully my neighbor let us plug into their generator and plug in our fridge! Well wish us luck!!

First Snow Fall!

Well it has snowed a few times this year but nothing has accumulated. But last night it was snowing on and off until this afternoon. So Josh and I went out and built a mini snow man! Then came inside for some homemade hot chocolate! He was addicted to the hot chocolate. He has never had it before and he was in heaven! Here is a video of Josh with his hot chocolate...

I saw you roll up your window and shake your head when I rode by. But you didn't see me riding behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window.
I saw you frown at me when I smiled at your children. But you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.
I saw you stare at my long hair. But you didn't see me and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.
I saw you roll your eyes at our Leather jackets and gloves. But you didn't see me and my brothers donate our old ones to those that had none.
I saw you look in fright at my tattoos. But you didn't see me cry as my children where born or have their name written over and in my heart.
I saw you change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere. But you didn't see me going home to be with my family.
I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be. But you didn't see me when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.
I saw you yelling at your kids in the car. But you didn't see me pat my child's hand knowing she was safe behind me.
I saw you reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road. But you didn't see me squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn.
I saw you race down the road in the rain. But you didn't see me get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date.
I saw you run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time. But you didn't see me trying to turn right.
I saw you cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in. But you didn't see me leave the road.
I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass. But you didn't see me. I wasn't there.
I saw you go home to your family. But you didn't see me. Because I died that day you cut me off.
I was just a biker. A person with friends and a family. But you didn't see me . Repost this around in hopes that people will understand the biker community.. Jason and his brother got hit once too...some guy didn't "see" them and they both got thrown off there bike.

Retro!!

So after 3 months of waiting and waiting and waiting! My raise and RETRO pay finally arrived! I'm so excited...particially...they taxed the SHIT out of it. For the 3 months of not having my raise when I should have (only $1.25 more) I got $652 in retro. Then on top of that I got my paycheck. Which is usually almost $300. Well after both combined I walked away with at $737 paycheck?? A little over $300 went to taxes :( Then after bills I'm down to $80. I was quite happy now I'm just right back where I was...life...

Before I was a Mom

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.

I never thought about immunizations.

I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't

Update: Pink Eye

So Josh does have pink eye! I got to call out of work and stay home with my sick baby. Unfortunately he is not contagious 24 hours after he has the eye drops so he has to go to Daycare today. Now off to get ready for work and drop him off at Daycare.

Pink eye??

I have an appointment at 9:15 for Josh. Last night his eye started to get a little pinkish/red color and he has had a nasty phlegmy cough with a low fever last night and very buggery! So wish us luck at our appointment! I get to stay home with him if it is pink eye.

Gingerbread Bears!

My niece Madison & I made our own gingerbread bears while Josh watched. He wasn't too happy with just watching but he would have just eaten the bears instead of decorating them. It is snowing too!! Another iPod?

So the iPod shuffle I got Jason for our 5 year anniversary got ruined a few months ago. He was on the lawn mower at work and went through a swarm of bees and he lost it. Well...he found it a week later with the lawn mower! So it is totally ruined. Did I mention it had been rained on it too!! I think he might have had it for 4 months?? So for Christmas I just ordered him one off of http://www.bestbuy.com/ It was on sale for $149, free shipping, plus I got a $20 gift card with free shipping! Now I've got to keep it a surprise and hope he doesn't get it when it gets shipped here!

Paul Rudd

I was at work last night and he came into the Pharmacy! That was about the only excitement last night. Work was awful because we are closed today. It was insane!! Anyway...he was quite cute :)

Diaper Rash?

Ugh! The other night Josh pooped and I guess never woke up! So the next day he woke up at 5:30ish and was complaining about his butt! So now he has a bad diaper rash that is slowly going away but...now the poor thing has diarrhea. I hope it will clear up soon! He cries every time we touch his butt! Sorry if its TMI!

Gas!

Has anyone else noticed gas has been going and going and going DOWN! I thought I would never ever say that again! Right now gas is $2.37!! What are your gas prices?? I'm sure some one is cheaper than New York.

Noah is here!

Baby Noah has finally arrived!! He was born November 15, 2008 at 8:31 am!! To the left is the birth announcement I made for my sister. He was supposedly only 38 weeks but after he was born they figured out he was actually 35 weeks. He was having a problem with his blood sugar but everything is ok now!

Labor Update!

So I went to go see my sister on my lunch break today and brought her lunch and at that point she was only 2.5 cm. Around 2 ish she was 3 cm so they broke her water. They started getting worse but still 3 minutes apart. Then I stopped by after work (6 ish) and brought dinner and she was still 3 cm and the contractions were getting slower. So when the doctor comes in some time tonight they will talk about using Pitocin. So...so far no new baby :( Hopefully by tonight or tomorrow Noah will be here??

Labor!!

My little sister is in labor! She went into the hospital last night around 6 pm because she lost her muscus plug. Then they sent her home around 8 pm. She was only 2 cm dilated so they told her to come back when the contractions got closer together. So I will probably have a new baby today!! She is only 2 weeks early now so it isn't as bad as the last few times she went into labor. Wish her luck!

Mary Louise Parker?

Ok so I was at work today all day (surprise?) and around 4ish I had an older lady say before she left "You look like Mary Louise Parker, have you got that before?" First off I have no clue what to say because I have no clue who she is and the name doesn't ring a bell. So of course I write the name down so I don't forget when I get home so I can look it up. Now that I'm home and I now know who she is I'm thinking ok...I don't look like her but thanks for thinking that! Also now that I think about it too...the lady had just got out of knee surgery and is probably all doped up and was getting pain medication anyway...so...yeah...

Josh finally learned how to say love you! It is so cute too! I know it is dark I was basically using it like a voice recorder because we were in the car driving back from the shower.

By the way the baby shower went very well! Everyone loved the food...plus I have some leftovers to bring to work for this weeks lunch!

The Weekend!

What a long, long Friday! My sisters baby shower is coming up on Sunday and I asked to get out of work yesterday at 5 pm instead of 7 pm. So I worked 9 am to 5 pm. Then went grocery shopping for the party & started cooking stuff so I don't have to do so much the day of the party. I was cooking for about 3 hours and didn't get home till 10:30 pm. Then was up till about midnight. Then for some reason I woke up when Jason woke up this morning at 5:30 am and never was able to fall back asleep. I only have about 2 more items to cook then I'm done until Sunday when I have to assemble stuff. The menu is...

Getting better

So Daycare wont take Josh until next week! He isn't contagious anymore and I told her that but...oh well. I was able to get my little sister to watch him yesterday and now that my parents are back from Florida she will watch him today and tomorrow! Thank goodness for family I don't know what I would have done?? Josh is feeling much better though! He is eating again and not so cranky. He still has the spots on his hands and feet but they are slowly going away.

Update: Chicken Pox

False alarm!! No chicken pox...I had looked it up on www.webmd.com thinking it was that but nope. After his nap he had his doctor's appointment and it turned out to be Coxsackie Virus aka hand, foot, mouth disease. So he should be better soon and I may or may not be home with him tomorrow depending on Daycare.

Chicken Pox

Josh has chicken pox! So I guess the fever he had from the molar coming in was probably from the chicken pox and his molar. My poor baby! I noticed yesturday on his hand that he had a pimple on his hand. Well this morning it looked like he had about 10 other "pimples" on his hand and some on his feet! So he can't go back to Daycare for about 2 weeks. I took off today and I don't know what I'm going to do about tomorrow but my parents come back from Florida Wednesday night so she can watch him Thursday & Friday. Who knows about the rest of next week?? A plus to this is I finally get to spend a WHOLE day during the week with him!!

Molars

So...since Halloween night (after trick or treating) he has had a fever, hasn't eaten, and has been drooling constantly. Let me tell you out of all of his teeth the molars are the worst!! He wont even drink water for me and he turned down breakfast, lunch, & dinner yesterday and lunch today. He is going to shrivel up! Wish me luck that they come in quickly because he has just been whining and crying all day. I feel so bad for my baby!

The virus only lasted for 24 hours the worst part was the puking in the middle of the night. I went to work for 3 hours thinking I could make it through the day...nope I went home my 1 pm. So I picked up Josh from Daycare and went home and took a nap then did absolutely nothing! By the next day I was better. Thanks :)

Sick Again...

Damn this Daycare...I either got it from that or from my Father. I had the worst headache last night at work that would NOT go away. So I get home, eat dinner, then go to bed around 9:30 pm and everything is fine. Well midnight comes I get up and puke every half hour until 3:30 am. Ugh...now I get to go to work at 10 am. Wish me luck hopefully the nauseous feeling will go away.

Trick or Treat!

I taught Josh how to say trick or treat this morning. This was probably the fastest he ever caught onto a phrase. I told him he has to say trick or treat so he would get candy...well it took him 2 seconds...he still wont say sippy but he says trick or treat? Go figure! It was cute anyway...here is the video...

It's back!!

My car is finally back!! I'm so excited we picked up our other car from his brother's house FINALLY! He found a few more things wrong with it after he put in the new oil pan. So all new break lines and a few new bulbs later I now have my car!! I can't wait to "sleep in" on Friday! I think 7 am is better than 5:30 am any day...

The Weekend

This weekend was so much fun! Josh, my friend Jen, & I went apple and raspberry picking on Saturday then we went to Blithewood Gardens. It is beautiful there. It is just down the road from where my parents live. It is right by the water and so pretty. Then on Sunday my sister, her 2 boys, her boyfriend, my father, & I all went to Bish Bash falls. You can go there park and walk the trail to the falls then walk back up to the top. It was a lot of fun but so cold! Here is a slide show of our weekend. A-OK!

My little sister is ok for now! Thanks for the sticky vibes! They sent her home some time before 10 am this morning. I just hope she will keep that baby bean inside of her for a month longer!

Contractions Again!

So my little sister has had contractions since last night around 4 pm. About 5 to 10 minutes apart! So she just went into the hospital tonight after dinner and they are going to keep her overnight because they gave her a shot and the contractions didn't stop. So everyone cross your fingers and give her all the sticky vibes you can!!

Cleaning

My house was a total wreck. I work full time as you all know so that leaves Jason & Josh at home most of the time. Oh man...they could ruin anything. I spent my day off this morning cleaning up for 3 hours. That was just the living room, kitchen, & bathroom. I need a break...I'm still working on laundry too. If Josh would take his nap I could get it done. I have 4 loads and just one more to wash and dry. Wish me luck!

Update: Big Boy Bed

Lately I feel as if my life is consumed by this whole transition to the toddler bed and I must say it has been a rocky road...very rocky! I think we are finally there! This would be his second night in a row no crying, no pounding on the door, and no in and out...in and out!! I'm so proud of him! Now I don't want to jinx myself either **knock on wood But so far so good!

Update: Men

Ok so of course as always the "fights" never last long! We made up that night and GIO...sorry if that was TMI.

Men!!

Ok I need to rant...I'm not sure I have yet (at least on my blog)?

Is it me or do men never say there feelings or is it just Jason?? We are in the middle of talking at dinner and he said he has changed. I said..."You only stopped doing drugs. What else have you changed?" I was curious! So he started getting mad and said "Oh...ok so I'm still a loser?" Ok...now I'm confused. So I said "Why would I have started to date you if your were a loser??" So then he gets up from the table and just stops talking. I told him this is why nothing gets resolved because he never talks and when he does he has such a short temper?? Are all men like this??

So I told him I wasn't talking to him until we finished the conversation...but apparently there is nothing to talk about?! I give up...they say men are complicated. I think who ever came up with that one is so wrong.

Step2 Push Around Buggy

These things are awesome. If you don't have one you should probably get one! Jason was at work yesterday (working for our old landlord doing yard work) and he had this and a push tricycle sitting outside for the garbage. So Jason asked if he could have it. Josh LOVES this thing. He didn't want to get out of it. I've been looking to buy one for a while and I'm glad I didn't because free is so much better. It even looks like new!

Big Boy Bed

The sleeping situation is finally getting a bit better!! I found that if I leave the door open he doesn't cry and he does get out but...not as often. He will stay in bed though if I stay in the room the whole time and stare at him...but that is not happening! He still gets out of the bed in the middle of the night and comes in our bed though. Slowly but surely we are getting there...

Toddler's

So I turned the crib around again so it is a toddler bed. Josh just decided that he is going to escape again instead of sleeping! So it is just much easier to get him to go to sleep in the bed. It takes me an hour in the crib versus 30 minutes with the toddler bed. It is still a pain in the ass but I'm hoping he will get used to it quickly. So far it has been about a week. The only down side is that he has been waking up in the middle of the night and crying or just coming into our room. Less sleep too!

Also Josh has finally learned how to open the bathroom door with the knob cover on it! I knew he could do it on his door with the cover but the bathroom door sticks so it was always too hard for him to do. Well...not anymore! Now I've got to go out to the hardware store and get little latches for the top of the door. Wish me luck that I don't loose my mind...he is getting too smart for his own good!

Update 3: Daycare

So Daycare is now going good hopefully **fingers crossed** But I guess Thursday Josh bit one of the little boys! I know he is teething but still! **sigh** So I've been telling him "No hitting or biting, we give kisses!" So far I think it has worked because I haven't heard anything bad from the Daycare provider. If you ask him now what do we do to the baby he will start kissing the air. Too cute! Wish us luck though...

Sick

Meh...my sister got Josh sick a few days ago and now it has finally passed its way onto me! I felt horrible last night and today I felt like I was in a fog. I actually fell asleep around 7ish last night and slept until about 7:30 am the next day. I did need it though.

Update: Thyroid Specialist

Ok so today I finally had my appointment with the Ear, Nose, & Throat Doctor. Well first off he probed me!! He had this device about 1 foot long, very skinny, & with a light at the end. Well...he stuck it down my nose!! It was awful. My mom had to actually leave the room. He first sprayed my nose with Afrin and "numbing" medication. Well it didn't numb it at all. Then he tells me it doesn't hurt it just feels weird...it hurt like a bitch! Anyway on to the thyroid. He doesn't know why I'm talking the Synthroid because that is for under active thyroids and mine is overactive! So he downed my dose from 50 mcg's to 25 mcg's. He said it could be doing more harm than good. Ugh...apparently some Doctor's don't know anything! So I'll go back in about 6 weeks for more blood work and I might not even have to be taking the medication!!

Update 2: Daycare

So the past 2 days I guess Josh has been hitting the little girl at Daycare. Jason kind of forgot to tell me! Men **sigh! So last night I ask Josh about the baby and he went "Ne nee!" holding his fist in the air (that is the sound effect he makes when he goes to hit). So I kept telling him that "We don't hit babies, we kiss and hug babies!" So I think he finally got it!!

Skip forward to a few hours ago and I asked Jason how Daycare went today? He said "He didn't hit the baby!" But....he tackled the little boy down!" Oh man...I think I have my hands full! I don't know how to explain this one to him because he doesn't know the words wrestle or tackle! Ugh...I can't wait until he learns how to talk more. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Copy Cat

So when I got home from work tonight I made pigs in a blanket, I sit down on the coach, put a pillow under my plate and I start eating. Well of course Josh comes over to get some even though he already ate a LOT! So when I'm done I gave him 2 and he sits down next to me, steals my pillow, and puts it under his plate, and then starts eating. Too cute :)

Celebrities

Ok so I was at work today and Rachel Weisz came in. Let me just say that she definitely did NOT look like the picture to the left. She came in with her hair pulled back in a bun, no make up, t-shirt & pants, and was white and scrawny as ever. She definitely looked like she needed some sun light and a burger! This is the state that other people need to see celebrities. They get this image of celebrities that is so far from the truth. Maybe then we wouldn't have so many anorexic people. Just like the Dove Campaign...if you guys haven't seen it yet you really need to. It is just sick how our children are seeing all of the images that everyone else thinks is ok. Not an example I want Josh to see.

Why?

Ok so Josh's new thing is "Why?" Don't you think this is a little young to be starting that?? Does he even know what it means?? I'm still trying to figure out who he hears say it? My niece and nephew still don't really say that and they are 4. Either way I think it is hysterical and both Jason and I always laugh when he says it! Everything is "Why?" or "What?"

Wedding

My family and I all went to my cousins wedding on Saturday. It was fun...even if kids weren't allowed. Jason's cousin ended up watching Josh for the night. It was nice to get out for once though and get to sleep in! Everything was really nice but the dinner was...meh? Anyway...before we left we all took a picture (my sisters and I). It has been a good 5 years since we've all had a picture taken TOGETHER. So here we are in order me (22), Elaine (20), Valerie (24), & Heather (27).

And here is a picture that my oldest sister took of me...I don't remember her getting a picture of me?? I hate the camera and I look highly surprised!!

Update: Contractions

So they gave my sister a shot to stop the contractions and it worked! She left the hospital an hour or so later. There was blood in her urine though so they are going to test it...hopefully the baby bean will stick!! So if you ladies have any extra sticky vibes they are greatly appreciated!

Contractions

So my little sister is in the hospital having contractions!! Not a good thing...she isn't due until December 2nd!! So I have her daughter Madison (4 years old) until they get home. They gave her a shot about 30 minutes ago to stop the contractions. Wish her luck! That baby needs to stick!!

New Haircut!

Ok...here it is! I love it!! Now my hair is officially my NATURAL hair color...it has been a while! I was able to donate about 12 inches to Locks of L♥ve!

Thank you all for the well wishes :) It makes my day! At least some one cares...Jason doesn't like to talk about this kind of stuff. Oh well that is why girls are much better to chat with! I love you girls :)

Thyroid Specialist

So I don't need a referral but I had to wait forever until the specialist office finally opened at 9 am. Not to mention being on hold for about 10 minutes! My appointment is Monday September 29, 2008 at 9:30 am. Wish me luck!

Update: Thyroid

So I just got the call from my doctor about 5 minutes ago. This is what she said "Well it looks good we have no nodules which we usually look for but...your thyroid is too big." Ugh...now I have to go to a specialist! I'm going to call the specialist in the morning and make an appointment. Hopefully this nightmare will be over soon or I'll just wake up but I doubt it! Wish me luck...

Patiently waiting

So I got my ultra sound done on my thyroid this morning at our local hospital. I just hoping they don't "find" something like they did the last time! It freaked me out! About a year ago when I first found out about my thyroid problem I had to go for a sonogram. Well...they founds some nodules on them! So then I had to go for a better one that involved me laying in an MRI looking machine and swallowing an iodine pill! Thank god it turned out to be nothing but still it scared the crap out of me when I Googled it! Note to everyone...never Google any sickness. It will be more than you bargained for! Well wish me luck...now it's time to wait.

Locks of L♥ve

I've decided to donate my hair to Locks of L♥ve. I really need a hair cut anyway and I'm sure someone could use it. Besides my mother telling me it looks horrible this long...anyway. Here is the before picture. I know it is horrible looking...

I'm getting my hair cut on Wednesday at 11:45 am so I'll show the after shot when I get the chance. It's going to be short because they need a minimum of 10 inches so I'm just going to cut it all off. Wish me luck I'm no good with cutting a lot of my hair off. I've cried a few times over my hair being too short.

Girls Night Out

Can I just say it has truly been years since I've actually gone out for drinks...scratch that since I've even been out with friends! I'm young too? Anyway...I had to go shopping for a dress yesterday so a friend and I went. After that we decided to call another girl that we work with to go out for drinks. It was a fun time...3:30 am later I'm home. Ooo I even got to see a bar fight! Now I'm hoping I can catch up on some sleep around nap time!

I made it through the week!

Can I just say I'm so happy the weekend is finally here! I needed to catch up on sleep both Josh and I. We had been waking up at either 5:30 or 6:30 every morning through out the week. The good thing is that the car is finally getting fixed on Monday so...I will soon have our normal life back. Well...besides me working full time now. So I got to sleep in until 8:45 am and Josh slept until 9:30 am!!! We really did need it! Now the only bad thing is that I have to clean up the house after 5 days of Jason & Josh being there by themselves! It is a total wreck! Wish me luck!

Moon

Josh loves the sky but tonight there is a full moon and it is nice, bright, & clear so he could see it. He was amazed. He kept on saying "moo, moo, moo!" He wanted to tell his Dada about it too. It is too cute them learning about new things...

Stinky Situation

Well...I'm on the computer checking out iVillage when Josh comes along to sit on my lap. Well I start smelling poop!..then I take him off of me and look down and (on my work pants) is a BIG poop smear! So of course I've got to clean him up and stick him in the bath. Also to make matters worse I have a washer and drier but no quarters & no more black pants for work...go figure!! So I guess I'll be wearing jeans to work tomorrow. The good thing is that, its about 50* and Josh is wearing his first feet-y pajamas! I ♥ those things...

A long week

Well...here is to the start of a long week (and weeks to come). I start my full time today! That means 44 hour weeks. Lets hope I can do it...it's been a while! I'll try not to abuse my blog either.

Halloween?

So we went to Walmart yesterday night (bad idea!) and I was racing through the store to get my diapers, wipes, & camera case and I happened to cut through the Halloween isle...already!?!? Josh's life time is going entirely way, way too quickly for me! I just remember last year like it was a few months ago. He is going to be 2!! Well anyway...he saw an Elmo costume so...I guess Josh is going to be Elmo! I bought one for my nephew when he was Josh's age (they were born 6 days apart) so he should fit into it to! So I don't have to run around trying to find a costume this year. I think last year I didn't end up finding something until a few days before Halloween.

Update-1st day of Daycare

So...I dropped Josh off at the Daycare at around 8:40ish. He was doing fine while I talked to the lady telling her about nap time and food allergies but, I go to leave and he heads for the door opening it and about to run out the door. I said "No Josh, you have to stay here while Mommy goes to work." Well he started crying and she picked him up and I had to leave. That was about the worst moment in my life. I got out the door and starting crying all the way to work (only about 3 minutes). So I get to work and I'm fine I stopped crying and the Pharmacist I work with said whats the matter? So of course I started to cry again. Ugh...life can be so rough. I new I was going to cry but I was hoping I wouldn't. I don't know how long he cried after I left but he did take a nap for her but, since I didn't pick him up (and men don't ask questions) I don't know really how his day was, if he liked her, if he took his usual 2-3 hour nap, etc... **sigh**

First Day

Wish me luck! Today is Josh's first day of Daycare. I'm sure he'll do fine but, I'm freaking out! At least I know the girl a little bit but, I still don't know her like that. Only family has watched him up until now. Well...I'm off to finish getting ready and take my little baby to Daycare :( Happy Friday!

Martha Stewart

So I've never hated someone more "perfect" but this woman is a freaking genius!! I've made a few of her cookie recipes over the past few weeks and they have all be awesome!! I definitely recommend checking out her site. I also searched for some recipes for my sisters baby shower that I'm hosting in November. Everything looks so good! I just made these the other day, Chocolate Strawberry Thumbprints...

And if anyone gets a chance they HAVE to make these they were so, so good! Chocolate Espresso Snowcaps...

Also...they don't have a picture of them but everyone loved the Raspberry Linzer Cookies I made. They were so good...

Full Time

I'm so excited!! The girl that works Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday put in her 2 weeks and her last day is tomorrow. Well the managers came up to me asking me if I wanted more hours. I said yes only if I could get a raise and find a daycare that would take Josh. I really do need the money and it would be nice to get benefits! Well today the "big" guy was in and said I could get the raise and be full time!! So starting Saturday they are putting in my raise...but its CVS...that doesn't mean I will actually have my raise that day...they are such procrastinators, but least I know I'll get the back pay eventually?! So I now will have PAID sick days, PAID vacation, and will have better insurance!! The only thing is I really don't want to do daycare but, I have to do what I have to do.

By the way...I found a daycare too!! Jason used to go to school with her and she used to watch my nephew's so...I'm nervous. He has never been with anyone but family. I'll have to see how it goes...wish us luck!!

New Camera

I finally got my new camera!! It has been forever since I've had mine. I broke my newer one a few days before Halloween 2007. I put it down and it fell onto its lens. Then my older one Josh would throw it and throw it until the batteries popped out and he did it too hard one day and broke the whole screen! So I was using the one with the broken screen but the only problem was...it is set up to imprint the date on it and it keeps on resetting itself when the batteries come out so it says 1/1/2005 on all his pictures!! He wasn't even born yet! Anyway...so I had been borrowing my Mom's camera every now and then and my Mom complained to my Dad and since he works for Snap-On Tools he gets points (like the credit card companies do) so he used his points to get him, myself, and my 2 other sisters camera's!!! I was so, so, so excited!!!! Isn't it pretty?!?!

Daycare

Well I have to officially start looking for Daycare for Josh :( I'm so sad! I didn't ever want to put him in Daycare. I have a real trust issue especially when I couldn't even count on some of our family member's to watch him and take care of him! So I've got to see if someone can take him on just Wednesdays and see if we can afford it? But the good thing is if we can afford it I can take on Tuesdays & Thursdays and work full time Monday-Friday. It will be nice because then I will get benefits. Well...lets see how this is going to work out...

Peace & Quiet

Ok so bedtime last night & nap time today went so much better than yesterday's nap time! Yesterday at nap time Josh kept getting out of his crib then running out into the living room! It took me a good hour to get him to go to bed. There was tears, boogers, and blood!!! He tried getting out of his bed and he hit his poor lip on the wood on the way down! So of course he was hysterical! But...last night I put Josh to bed with no problem's he didn't get out of bed and was asleep after 10 minutes. Then in the morning surprisingly he didn't get out when he woke up. He stayed in there until I went in and got him!! Same thing with nap time...so far he has been in there for about 20 minutes with no noise & no getting out of bed!! Watch...tomorrow is going to be hell...

Monkey!

Well...Josh can now get out of his crib! It all started yesterday though...I was at my parents house and I put Josh in my Mom's play pen for a nap. Well after about 15 minutes or so my Mom said it sounds like Josh is out of the play pen. I said..."No! He can't get out he was just in there yesterday!" Well I go upstairs and he is in the hallway!! I put him back in there and he just climbed out. So I tried laying in bed with him and that didn't work. So I went for a car ride...nothing!! So back to today...he threw a ball at me (he missed) and I put him in time out in his crib for a minute. We'll it took less than that for him to maneuver himself over and out!! Now I've got to try the toddler bed again...as you can tell that didn't work very well. It worked at bedtime but nap time was horrible! Wish me luck!! Oh and by the way...I have those knob covers for the doors so Josh can't get into his room (he throws his clothes all over his room) well...ummm...those don't work for him?? I don't know how he does it!! But he gets into his room now! My nephew is almost 6 and can't do it!! WTH!

New Shoe's

The baby sitter on Monday took Josh to the mall and she fell in love with these DC shoe's...so she bought them! They are the cutest things ever! The funny thing is that...she didn't know it but...Jason has the same exact pair!

163rd Dutchess County Fair

The fair was so much fun! We got there around 4 pm. Then met up with Steff, her hubby Jimmy, and Lorelai (Josh's girlfriend) at 6:30 pm. We stayed till about 10:30 pm and we all had a lot of fun. Before we met up with them we went to see the tractor's. Josh is in love with tractor's...

Then we went to see the cows. I got a milk shake in the mean time too and...uhh...as you can see Josh took over my milk shake and would not give it back...

Then we met up with Steff, Jimmy, and Lorelai...

Then Jimmy, Lorelai, Josh, & I went on a few rides with the kids. Since they were small the parents had to go with them. They loved them and didn't want to get off...

Waiting Impatiently

I'm so excited!! Our 163rd County Fair is here! It is the best fair ever...it is huge! People come very far to see it. The only bad thing is the traffic and the huge amounts of people I have to deal with at work. Other than that I'm excited! Josh gets to see the tractor's and animals! Now the end of his nap time can't come any quicker! I'll definitely post picture's when I get back!

Breaks!!

Well we just got back from Jason's parents house. They had a party for every ones birthday in August. So on the way home I had to slam on my breaks because 2 deer were in the middle of my lane. I didn't hit them but...I noticed a huge cloud of smoke behind us. So I start to slow down a bit and noticed that the breaks just go right down to the floor...oh shit! I managed to get home OK and park it. I put on the e-break and it smoked horribly so I had to just park it! I hope it doesn't roll down our hill in the middle of the night or something!? So we went from having 2 cars to no cars! I don't know how life could suck any more?? Good thing my father has a lot of vehicles! He should be here in 30 minutes or so with there Suburban so Jason can get to work! What a rough night!

Invitations

My sister asked me to make my nephew's 4th birthday party invitations and thank you cards. It is cowboy themed as you can see.

I'm hosting my sister baby shower too. Not until November but I like to be prepared! So here is the invitation...

I got really bored one day and made Josh's invitation and thank you cards too! It is a Curious George themed party. I have these cute monkey cupcakes I'm making too!

I know I spelled coming wrong in the thank you card above (but Annette I keep on forgetting!!!) I remember you told me that the last time...I'll get it one day!

Nature

Today my sister and her 2 boys Caden & David came over. So we went outside to play in our backyard (I love living in the country). We found some really neat things too! Toads, salamanders, & weird mushrooms. A perfect picture opportunity! Of course I didn't touch any of those things...yuck! My sister held up the toad so we could take picture's and my 4 year old nephew was obsest with the salamanders. Josh loved the baby salamander. He would say "awww baby, baby!!" but wouldn't touch it! Surprise!

So since I worked all day and Jason didn't get a birthday dinner...I'm surprising him with one! I haven't quit figured out what I'm making but I will soon?? I made the cupcakes 6 am yesturday but finally made the homemade chocolate frosting today! Nothing fancy but very good!

We were able to go out last night for drinks though. That was nice!

High Chair

When I cook I stick Josh in the high chair with food so he doesn't run around and get into stuff while my hands are all dirty (like when I'm cutting meat). So today like any other time I cook a meal I stick him in the high chair, give him peas, he throws the peas on the floor, so I give him some crackers. While he is eating I'm using my NEW Magic Bullet pureeing up some veggies for dinner and I look behind me and Josh is passed out! I have no clue how or why he passed out because this machine is so loud and it vibrates! Plus it was about an hour before his actual nap time. So here are a few pictures...I stuck in a couple of Josh from this morning. I did a faux hawk on him...even though the majority of his hair grows right down the middle! He has barely any hair LMAO!

Birthday Card

Well tomorrow is Jason's 26th Birthday. So since Jason really hates birthdays and I'll be at work all day I decided to help Josh make a birthday card for his Dada! We tried the hand print thing but as you can see it didn't work very well...I tried two times!





So I decided to just try doing foot prints. It turned out a lot better...nothing fancy. When it dries I'll let him paint inside.



ETA...I just noticed I forgot the r in birthday LMAO! I just made the i into an r and stuck the i in between!

Potty!

He peed on the potty this morning!! I think I was more excited about it than him though...I clapped and he just poked his penis!

Bullet!

I'm so ecstatic!! I went to visit my parents tonight and my Mom's friend gave her the Magic Bullet!! So my Mom doesn't need it (she just bought a juicer and has many blenders) so she gave it to me! I'm so thrilled...a few years ago I bought it and returned it because we were broke! Just in time...I roasted some squash this afternoon and haven't pureed it up yet!! I can't wait to use it!! Plus my Mom made an awesome Shepard's Pie!! It takes very little to get me excited I guess?!?!

What, what?

Josh really has me cracking up lately! When I call out his name he comes running say "what, what?!" Another new thing is he puts his finger's in his ear when I talk to him! Now that just bugs me! Here is a short video of him ignoring me!! I don't know where he learns these things from!?

Success!

So last night I didn't bother with the new big boy bed because I had to wake him up at 5:30 am so I figured I would start on it tonight. Well...we have a success! I put him in there a little before 9 pm and he is asleep right now! I put him in there and I stayed in there to make sure he laid his head down, then left. He ended up getting up and knocking on the door a few minute's later. So I put him back in there and said "stay IN bed" It seems to have worked! I hear nothing...

Big Boy Bed

So tonight Jason and I turned Josh's crib into a toddler Daybed. I changed it because lately he has been shoving his leg through the bars and getting stuck, then I have to pry him out! So we agreed it was time. He was jumping up and down on it cracking up...but let's see if he will actually stay in the bed and sleep! Here are some picture's. The first one looks like he is in a cage but it is the bed laying on it's side with no mattress. It took a little longer to convert it than normal because someone kept stealing our tools! By the way Josh is a little weird and likes wearing his cousin Madison's clothes. He found it laying around and asked to wear it! Just as long as he doesn't do it when he starts getting older I'm fine with it!
